This beautiful carbon moulding is used to securely mount the tailplane (also called horizontal stabiliser or hoz stab) on the Strike 2/3 launched glider. The mount (also called a pylon) has a nice airfoil shape and is faired into a conic section for bonding to the glider's tailboom. The rear is open to act as a fairing and actuation slot for the elevator horn. Although designed for the Strike it will work with many 1m DLGs. It can be mounted above or below the boom, whichever the designer prefers.
The mount has one stab mounting hole threaded for M2 metric screws.
