hello very nice kit complete every thing fits perfect this was a joy to build super nice blue prints that are so pretty you could frame them i have not flown yet but it is ready just need a day i do advise dont buy th blue bird bms 125 wv servo to much slop in gear train i highly recamend hitech hs 65 mg a hair bigger but precise movement did i mention the wood is all top shelf strait nicly grained AAA balsa very happyy and delivered to usa in 7 days amazing you all did a great job an this glider thanks again i am sure that by other revues it will float like a feather
I put it in a NAN Orion V2 and think it’s perfect for this plane. I was having a hard time finding a suitable motor in the USA without a long back order, so I took a chance and ordered from Hyperflight in the UK. I’m so glad I did. The package got to me in under a week which was quite impressive to me given it travelled through customs and across the pond. I rarely get packages shipped domestically in that time frame. I’ve been flying my new model with this motor for a couple weeks now and couldn’t be happier. It’s plenty powerful and I can get decently long flight times with a variety of different packs. Thank you Hyperflight. I won’t hesitate to order from you again in the future.
I bought this models to our club for use as thermal traning models and to be able to fly with tranier transmitter.
Tested the first one this morning and I was really positive supriced that it flies extreamly good. Im use to highend models as NAN Q4 and Q5, i can only say that Geranimo 2 is a great step in model and best bang for your buck, so if you looking for step in model that will flies great and will not drain you wallet, this might be it :)
The bulid leavs e bit to yur ovn excperience to handle but just take you time ang you will sort it out.
I fly it with a CG of 89mm and the total weight is about 810g.
A relatively steep learning curve needs to be traversed to assemble this model (as I imagine is the case with most DLG's).
But the pay off is a very robust, practical, light, and agile glider. You will be incredibly unfortunate to break this model beyond repair. Mine has been treated very badly as I learned to fly it.. and it's still going strong.
Check my YouTube page (Big Smoke Rc) for videos of the flight envelope - by a complete novice. It is a fast, acrobatic model with fantastic agility, but on a sunny day it will soon become too high to see! It responds very well to a little camber and inverse differential as a 'thermal' mode. It is my favourite model to fly. Very very satisfying to thermal, then fly acrobatics once the thermals are gone. Then the two part wing means it can go in a backpack for the trip home!
I can recommend setting up with strings (fishing braid) and springs, instead of push rods. The tail surfaces are very slim, so take care with the springs. Do not use any sort of cheap 5min epoxy or CA where it will contact the foam cores. They will melt. Use only 'proper' epoxy.
I hope this model is back in stock soon. I would love to purchase another one
Thanks Neil at hyperflight for the great service with some problematic servos. Everything delivered fast and safe.
Cheers!
The plane is of top quality when it comes to construction and build quality. Be aware that you need the smallest servos you can get. My only negative mark to this plane is that the fuselage is so small that need the smallest servos money can buy and it helps if you are a surgeon. An easy way out of that is simply to but the recommended BlueBird servos and follow the youtube videos about building.
And the service from Hyperflight is just awesome.

This is my first DLG model. The quality of the molding & finish is to a very high standard 👍 The model was very well packaged in a very strong cardboard box. I am looking forward to installing the radio gear & flying this model.
Excellent service from Neil 👍 thank you 🙂
The built model is easy to fly and the still air performance is good, its second flight when some lift was about was excellent brought it down after 25 minutes.
the only downside when building is the instructions and drawing are not the best.
Having said that it can’t be that bad this is my second kit.
The X-Res kit contained good quality materials and the plan was well drawn. Building the model was not as easy as it could have been. The instructions on the plan are almost all in German and the on line guide lacks clarity. Having built many models and competed at the Nats, My advice would be , get the plan text translated. It would make building much more of a pleasure. I have yet to fly the model.
Hi I bought a smile Dlg from hyperflight it arrived very quickly and extremely well packed I used Mks Ds6100 servos and a lemon Rx with a 1 cell lipo the kit is very nice to build your have to think about your servo fitment but got all four on the servo tray supplied I cut the tray in half and took a little of each end then fitted the aileron servo first then rudder and elevator .went out with it on Saturday and had some great flights very smooth little glider launches great and flies great all good very pleased
hello i live in us super fast shipping it was here in 7 days amazing i have waited way longer for things shipped in us also kit is super nice every thing fits very nice have not finished build but close in a week what a pleasure to build and the plans did i mention that they are beautiful very detailed what a deal for 200 bucks i love it thanks again rich if you dont have this glider buy it now !!!
Bought the Xpower 2928/8 1380Kv from hyperflight, because I wanted something that wouldn't be a squeeze to get it into a 40mm nose.
I was a little nervous about it being sufficiently powerful, bring only 28mm diameter, but I needn't have worried.
Takes my Arthobby Avatar up at 8.6 m/s on merely a 9.5" x 6 " prop, drawing 33 amps on a 1350 50C 3s battery. Weight 1620 grams. I was impressed. Would no longer consider an inrunner with this beauty available.
One complaint, it didn't come with any mounting bolts, had to buy them separately!
Fantastic F3F type glider. The quality of the airframe is very good. Hardware though usable is not quite so good, you might want to upgrade pushrods clevises and servo mounts. The model comes with no instructions so I started my own build log over on RC Groups: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?4106039-TJI-Tempest-from-Hyperflight-build-log
Very impressed with the Build Strength of the Stiletto. Helping our Ukraine Builders Felt Good too as a bonus. The Saddle and how it integrates nicely into the Fuzz makes for a really nice solid feel. The Fuzz Radius curves have significant thickness to them. So it's no surprise buyers find these models stand quite significant impacts without damage. Usual superb Hyperflight delivery service goes without saying. The Durable Boxes compensate for any dodgy Courier Handling, always a bonus. Build wise, didn't use the supplied metal on plastic sleeve pushrods supplied. A personal choice. With KST X06 Servos for the tails, I went for carbon pushrods in PTFE. Reducing current drain etc. Not the usual Pull Spring system. Lovely DLG. Ample pod room allows for a normal AR6610T Telemetry Receiver too.
Ordered and delivered in about 1 week to South Australia. Perfectly packaged. Fuselage and tail boom is perfect for my needs. Very reasonable price. Would easily consider a second one.. I will be using an 84 inch wing as a thermal soarer. Highly recommended Great work Hyperflight.!
Final flying weight was just under 350g with a 1100mAh LiPo battery. Been out half a dozen times on the slope despite the winter weather in sub 10mpg winds and very pleased.
Yesterday out in a northerly that was forecast to be 10mph with thermals, but was in fact over 20pmh most of the time with white fluffy clouds so mega lift. Lost sight of it 3 times and had to emergency descend. Loops, near axial rolls, stall turns, bunts, inverted (sort of) and good penetration in a +20mph wind.
Set up:-
• ADH330S (21g) motor driving 6x4 prop produces 250g thrust for about 6 mins
• 2 x KST X06 servos for spring and pull to rudder / elevator running in Hyperflight’s PTFE tubes located up front as close to the motor as possible
• Hyperflight’s 11A ESC (2g) no BEC so you can monitor the actual 2S voltage located under the servos
• 1100mAh LiPo battery 11x23x90mm (often used by Airsoft guns)
• FrSky Rx under the wing with antenna exiting either side for fuz
• 2 x KST X08 servos for elevators in wing with a compression contact wing connector
• Fin attached to boom in traditional DLG fashion with a slot / fiberglass / epoxy and a small stub below the boom (rather than the carbon pins in the kit)
Overall very pleased with the end result. Looking forward to the summer on the slope.
The GLIDER BAG has a very good design, with the internal division for protecting the wing glider made with ribs and finishing with a delicate coating. My Pulsar 2.5 m fits nice. I had a little problem with a zipper tooth because the bag was folded into 2 parts inside de box packing with de zipper closed. For the next shipment of this product, I recommend folding the bag with the zipper open. The HyperFlight delivery time and service are very good as always. Congratulations
Very good service from HyperFlight. After 2 weeks I received the M.B.O.T very well packaged. I live in Chile South America!! Good delivery time. The kit had good quality wood and all the pieces are laser cut. Instructions for assembling are very short, but good photos. I missed the plain, but on your website, you warn that the kit does not come with a blueprint. Regards.
I did a Maiden tonight with my Pug 2 Dlg. I bought it as a christmas gift from my wife.
To build the wings was very easy, nice balsa in the ribs and smart connection in the middle. I had some problem with the body, the plastic parts that led the wires to the rudder was to narrow so I could not move the wires. In the end I took a ligther and warmed up the wire and put it through.
I have not made any real test with my Pug, but after tonight I know it will fly. The feather cover was very easy to put on.
Sorry for my english
Great product and Great Service. Neil really understands the nuances and needs of r/c soaring. I live in the U.S. at the foot of The Rocky Mountains . It’s FUN to always get exactly what I want in a timely manner, at a good price all the way from the home of my ancestors in England!
First full-house dlg (Elf being my starter dlg)
Great finish, outfitting was painless with lots of room in the fus. Maiden was faultless although I have dual rates on the elevator and even dialed in more as she was a little twitchy in the pitch but that could be my thumbs. In my opinion a great dlg at a reasonable price. Excellent service from Neil.
A great, fun to build glider and re-introduction to the hobby. I wanted something small that can be flown in local fields. Great service from hyperflight with the delivery. I followed the manual very closely and it went together fine. The CNC cutting is superb! Even though the fuselage pod is "self-jigged" care still needs to be taken to keep it true. The wing went together well, just follow along with the manual. I covered the wing and tail feathers in transparent Oralight. I was concerned that it would be difficult covering the wing due to the small Carbon fibre Leading and trailing edges, but this was no problem. For extra strength I glassed the fuselage pod with light weight cloth and some old SP113 resin. Then gave 3 coats of filler primer, 3 coats of primer and a couple of coats of Halfords top coat, with lots of sanding in between, the pod now looks like it was moulded :-). The weight is around 95 grams. Still playing with the CG and now it has 3g in the nose (too far forward initially).
It would have been nice if some carbon fibre tows were included to reinforce the throwing peg as shown in the manual. Also, the control throws indicate that the rudder is around 2x the elevator's, so it may be advisable to use the innermost hole for the later.
This model fills the bill perfectly as an introduction to DLG that can be flown in local fields/small spaces.
As always, fantastic service from Hyperflight. This kit arrived very well packaged the day after ordering. I have only just started building but it looks to be of very good quality and so far has gone together well. I chose this glider as it is from the same company as the Slite v2 that I have previously built and am very happy with. I have no doubt that the Introduction will perform equally well.
On an old but favourite Mini Ellipse E, I wanted to reset the motor mounting to have less down thrust than originally I had. This time I wanted it to be perfectly aligned and done right, so I opted for one of these little CNC gems by CN Model. After a light sand where it was to be glued into the plane, glue set, I was VERY happy with the alignment (way better than I could have with a F/glass mount I made at home and way stronger too), and the general neatness of the mount. First re-maiden a week ago proved a vast improvement in the correct pitch on launch.
All in all a very nice mount. I have photos but couldn’t upload to this review 🙁
